People Do So Much

Sometimes I get discouraged because the priority I see being placed on God's work... and that's a fair concern with which most of us would agree. However, what can get lost in all that is how much people do serve God, and with all their hearts.

I've been considering changing how we show the "duties" at church. Currently we have a monthly calendar with the most pressing or visible jobs. I have considered changing it to a "today" and "next week" - just for simplicity. Then I realized it isn't all that simple. As a matter of fact when I think of listing these people, for example:
  • Teachers
  • Greeters
  • Transporters
  • Prayers
  • Singers
  • Nursery
  • Children's Worship Leaders
  • Door Locker/Light Turn Off-er
  • Communion Prepper
  • Communion Servers
  • Communion Talkers
  • etc.

I realize that there isn't room. So I still have to think on that one. However, the overwhelming message to me is that God is at work in his people at Center Road.  What a blessing!

We started our Prayer Alert this Sunday... It is so encouraging to see everyone clamoring to sign up to pray for our kids... awesome.
