Once held in high esteem, the role of a teacher has changed in our culture today. We often hear of the “wrong things” teachers do instead of all the good. Being married to a school teacher and having had conversations with many of you in the profession as well… I can say that I know that much is expected today with less to get it done with than ever before…
We have many talented men and women who teach Bible Classes each Sunday and Wednesday. Know that they love you and your children and want so much for us to grow closer to the Lord. They take time preparing lessons that will bring God’s Word alive.
What can we do as a body to encourage our teachers? Well, there are probably a million good answers. But I think probably the most important one is making it a priority to be in their classes. This will say more and mean more to them than anything else! And you will be better for it! Not because I said so……cause God did!!!
Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever (Heb 13:7-8).
