Believe It: Reaching UP—Fueling Up On God
Our congregation’s focus is to love people one step closer to Jesus. When we say “believe it” we are talking about 1) seeking Jesus and 2) knowing Jesus. We are seeking in the following ways to provide opportunities for our youth (and their families) to come closer to Christ.
- Fuel. We want the WORD OF GOD in our fuel tanks. Get a fill up at 9:30 on Sunday mornings.
- Our Jr. High group (6th-8th) is talking about possessions (Christmas is coming!), priorities, and the work of Christ in the Gospels. Mike Miller, Tom Peterson, Kyle Stiner, and Matt Young are mentoring our jr. high group.
- Our high school (9-12th) is focusing on the parables and we are getting ready to talk God’s plan for New Testament Christianity. Andy Shaffer is mentor teaching and I’ll be helping out as well.
- Classes offered at the same time for all ages as well!
- Renew. It’s to help us get through the week. We begin our time with a short devo and prayer requests, followed by study.
- Our Jr. High group is talking about “what is Christianity”. I am teaching along with Matt Young.
- Our High school group is being led by Clint Erickson. They talk about current issues and how they relate to the Scripture.
- We will all shortly be focusing on the ROCK from 2 Samuel as well.
- We sometimes do Give It Activities, such as visiting the nursing home.
- Classes offered at the same time for all ages as well!
- Bible Bowl. One of our LTC Activities is Bible Bowl. It’s not about scoring at the convention, although that is fun. ITS ABOUT ADDING FUEL TO OUR TANKS FROM THE WORD OF GOD. More info coming shortly about this opportunity.
Why not make fueling or refueling this week’s top priority? (Psalm 119:105)
